K-BEAUTY From TARGET

Nowadays, K-Beauty aka South Korean beauty and skin care products are the well-known name among the worldwide beauty enthusiasts. K-beauty is all about natural ingredients to treat the skin and give the ultimate glow to the skin without any makeup. Target has introduced K-beauty products in their Glow Studio by the seasoned K-Beauty experts at Glow Recipe.

I tried the Glo Studio Hydrated Glow K-Beauty Routine Kit from Target. It is a trial kit size, 5.1 oz. for $13.79. It includes: the makeup melting Make P:rem Black Cleansing Water, the soothing Whamisa by Glow Recipe Green Tea Serum Toner, the hydrating Make P:rem Micro Tension Cream, and the innovative Make P:rem’s In-Shower Face Pack. The full-size products are available in the store and Target website. They have Glow Studio Youthful Glow K-Beauty Routine Kit – 3.8oz for the sensitive and mature skin and Glow Studio Oil Be Gone K-Beauty Routine Kit for oily skin type.

Let’s talk about the products now. I purchased the kit from my local Target store. And believe me, the products have delivered the results as they claim to be. Just after one use of these products, I got the glow like I just had a salon facial. I simply followed the steps as the box said, and instantly see the difference. My skin got super hydrated and insanely glowy. So, here comes the product descriptions and how to use them:

Step 1: This black cleansing water is a great cleanser, I used it in the morning. And it literally pulled all the oil around my t-zone and some makeup residue from my face. I will definitely buy the full size.

Sweep a cotton pad soaked in the Black Cleansing Water over the skin or hold a soaked cotton pad to areas in need of point makeup removal for 15-20 seconds to dissolve and sweep it away. Follow with regular skincare or a foaming cleanser for a more thorough cleanse. Use AM and PM.

Step 2: This serum toner is the first product in this routine that gives the actual glow to my skin. It’s very hydrating, it can be used alone to prep up the skin before applying makeup.

Dispense the Green Tea Serum Toner into palms and gently pat onto face. Repeat as needed for extra hydration. Use AM and PM.

Step 3: So, now comes the moisturizer, and it is a super hydrating moisturizer as I expected from the box. I think it is a great moisturizer for dry and dry combination skin type.

Warm a dime-sized amount of the Micro Tension Cream between palms and press into skin. Continue patting to ensure absorption and lock in hydration. Use AM and PM.

I am always in search of the in-shower products. It’s easy and time saving. Use the In-Shower Face Pack for a boost of hydration when skin is feeling extra dry and tired. After cleansing in the shower, spread a thin layer of the mask all over face like a moisturizing cream, avoiding eyes and mouth. Leave on for the duration of your shower (15~20 minutes), rinsing off before drying off. Follow up with your regular skincare after the shower. Use AM or PM, 1~3 times a week.

This skincare routine will be very useful in the dry winter days. And this trial size kit is definitely helpful to decide what product to buy. I will definitely purchase the Green Tea Serum Toner and the Cleansing water in full size. Hope you like my review on this K-Beauty skin care routine.

The Ordinary delivers high-quality skincare at a fair price line. And so, the popularity of Ordinary’s minimalist approach to the cost-effective, clinically proven ingredients are much appreciated by skincare enthusiasts.

In this part, I will discuss some of Ordinary’s bestsellers.

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation, available in 21 shades. This is a full coverage liquid foundation. It will give a semi-matte finish look and it is oil- free. You can get it on beautylish.com for only $5.

High-Adherence Silicone Primer

This advanced primer blurs imperfections, helps makeup last longer, and lends the skin a matte finish. It can also be used alone as a non-greasy hydration that reduces the look of pores, fine lines, and uneven texture.

The Ordinary’s 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil is brimming with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, which are known to hydrate and promote a smooth, even complexion. 100% pure, cold-pressed and organic, this formulation provides the unmitigated power of a natural wonder: rose hip seed oil. Rich in linoleic (omega 6) and linolenic (omega 3) acids, alongside pro-vitamin A, the oil targets signs of photo-aging (premature aging caused by repeated exposure to ultraviolet radiation) and boosts the skin’s overall health for a radiant result.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% +HA 2% Offering gentle – yet extraordinary – exfoliation with lactic acid. This lightweight serum stimulates cell regeneration to reduce pigmentation, diminish acne scars and age spots and improve overall skin texture.

The Ordinary Azelaic Acis Suspension 10%

What’s more, unlike many acids, this one does not cause irritation – in fact, it’s been shown to reduce redness and rosacea. Delivered as a lightweight cream-gel suitable for all skin types, this is a beauty no-brainer.

Product Review- The Ordinary, Part-1

A few months back, I watched Ordinary products review on youtube and thought to give it a try, so I shopped a couple of items from online and since then I am a huge fan of this cosmetic line. Ordinary is famous for its minimalist packaging and offers an abundance of brilliant, high-performance products at the amazing reasonable pricing. With a wide range of retinol, acids, oils, and vitamins to tackle all the complexion concerns here’s to my favorite Ordinary products, those help me to overcome my skincare issues.

In the first part of this product review, I will discuss some of my favorite Ordinary’s vitamins and retinoids treatments:

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% 30ml

Tackling uneven skin tone and visible signs of aging, this gentle serum delivers a concentrated blend of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid to smooth, brighten and plump even the most pallid complexions.

Well-known for its brightening properties, The Ordinary has placed vitamin C in its pure form of L-Ascorbic Acid at the center of Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%. Formulated as an antidote to aging, this antioxidant-rich elixir hydrate, and plump skin while brightening and improving uneven skin tone. Usually, I applied at bedtime, it can be used in A.M or P.M. with proper sun protection. I can surely feel the difference after each application. This extraordinary treatment allows you to wake up to the visibly luminous, and younger-looking skin.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 30ml

Though I have a combination skin, in the summertime, my skin is getting very oily and acne-prone. This solution is a dream come true for oily skin, this potent serum targets breakouts, minimizes pores and decongests confused complexions by regulating sebum production. It has high concentrations of two of the most efficacious blemish-battling ingredients out there (niacinamide and zinc), which reduce blemish-causing bacteria, keeping your complexion clear, calm and collected.

I apply it to entire face in morning and evening before heavier creams.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

This moisturizer is one of the bestselling Ordinary product. This non-greasy cream offers both immediate hydration and lasting results with continued use. It is one of my favorite moisturizers to use through all year.

The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (Previously Advanced Retinoid 2%)

Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion is a lightweight, milky-textured serum that works hard to target visible signs of aging while remaining gentle enough to avoid the irritation caused by some retinoid products. Lost elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and uneven skin tone are all easy targets for this superlative skin savior. I was scared to use a retinoid on my skin, but my skin loves this emulsion. After just one week of use, I can see the visible difference around my smile line and on the forehead.

I apply a few drops on the face in the evening as part of my skin care regimen. It is not safe to use near to the delicate eye area if you have sensitive eyes. And sun protection in the morning is must with any kind of retinoid treatment.

In the next part of this product review, I will discuss some of the bestselling Ordinary solutions and skin care treatments.

Prism Eyeshadow Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills- Product Review

I recently bought this wonderful eyeshadow palette from Sephora, Prism by Anastasia Beverly Hills. This is my second palette from ABH, the first one is Renaissance. I am really impressed by ABH’s shadow quality, they are highly pigmented, longlasting(with the eye primer) and lots of color variety. When I saw Prism’s nice mix of vibrant colors, I couldn’t resist myself. This palette contains 14 colors, there are 7 matte eyeshadow and 7 glittery pigments. What I really like about this palette is the selection of colors, there are some bold colors and there are some soft colors also. This palette can help you to create a glamorous party look, you can create a soft daytime look, or you can achieve a fiery summer party look also.

Let’s go through the colors, on the top line, there are 4 matte shadows, Eden is the soft matte orangy shadow, it’s a good transition color, though I have to reapply it a couple of time to get the desired color intensity. Unity is another nice transition color for the overall lid or to highlight your browbone. Now, my most favorite color in this pallet is Sphere, it’s a perfect color for this time of year, even if it looks bright neon yellow in the picture, its actually a very soothing color once applied on the lid. Obsidian is a dark shade, perfect for the smoky eye look or you can use it on the waterline also. Lucid, Sphinx and Osiris are the highly glittery pigments, a little fall down will be noticed, but great shades, especially Sphinx, a beautiful bronze shadow, perfect for evening.

On the bottom line of this palette, we have 4 glittery pigments and 3 matte shadows.  Dimension is a beautiful color, it will give you a metallic look, very trendy yet graceful. The parallel is a warm brown shadow, I always like to have a nice brown shadow in my palette, brown is a versatile eyeshadow, can be used with any makeup look. Another fabulous color from this pallet is Saturn, it is a beautiful salmon red color, it’s bold but not too harsh, you can create a beautiful sunset look with this one, perfect for daytime. The pyramid is gold glittery pigment. The Throne is another metallic color from this palette, it is a dark greenish glitter, little different and fun to use. The Lure is a matte soft pink shade, perfect for everyday look. And then we have Eternal, it is a beige glittery one, perfect for a glamorous look.

To create this sunset look, I used Eden as my transition color, then I used Saturn on top of  Eden. I used Parallel to cut the crease and then blend the shades nicely. Then I used Sphere for the entire lid and top with Sphinx for the center of the lid. And I used Unity for my browbone and Lucid for the eye corners. Hope you like my Sunset look. Share your ideas and thoughts with me.
